Karyn Schoenbart

Karyn Schoenbart is Chief Executive Officer of The NPD Group, a global provider of information and advisory services. NPD combines unique data assets and solutions with industry expertise, working with the world’s leading brands to support better business decisions and deliver a winning advantage.

Karyn has over 30 years of experience in the market research field, and has led NPD’s strategic expansion with the introduction of analytic solutions and new types of data. Prior to being named CEO, Karyn was President and Chief Operating Officer of NPD. Before that, she led the firm’s syndicated services businesses and was instrumental in the launch of several groundbreaking services, including tracking for the beauty, footwear, and accessories industries.

Passionate about coaching others to greater levels of achievement, Karyn is also the author of Mom.B.A. Essential Business Advice from One Generation to the Next, a practical guide on everything from effective first impressions and workplace politics to relationship development, skill-building, and priority-setting. The book is based on the real-life business lessons Karyn amassed during her career.

Karyn received the 2016 Long Island Brava Award, which recognizes high-impact female business leaders, and was named one of the Top 25 Most Influential Women of the Mid-Market for 2017, 2016 and 2015 by the CEO Connection®. She is also a recipient of the 2017 Legacy Award from Women in Consumer Technology, an organization that promotes the advancement of women in the consumer technology industry.

Karyn currently serves on the ARF Women in Analytics Board and the advisory board of The Resolution Project, a nonprofit organization that develops socially-responsible young leaders. Karyn has also served on the boards of directors of Civic Science and CASRO, the Council of American Survey Research Organizations. She regularly teaches classes in leadership and developing client relationships and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and events.

A graduate of the University of Massachusetts, summa cum laude, Karyn and her husband live in Woodbury, NY. They enjoy the beach and spending time with their adult children.

A graduate of Michigan State University, Kay holds a Masters in Communications from Western Michigan University.

Cynthia and the company have been honored with many awards. She has been named One of West Michigan’s 50 Most Influential Women 5 times.

Laura Soave is a proud native of Detroit, Michigan, where she has built an accomplished career with the world’s leading vehicle and automotive aftermarket manufacturers.

Laura currently serves as Senior Vice President, Chief Marketing and Communications Officer for Federal-Mogul Motorparts where she has responsibility for the company’s global brand strategy. She is re-inventing the dialogue between Federal-Mogul Motorparts and its customers through her leadership of strategic initiatives and investments in product and service innovation, brand value and digital communications platforms. Laura is especially passionate about the company’s Parts Matter campaign, which educates consumers on the critical role that replacement parts play in vehicle safety, reliability and performance, and its Tech First (Garage Gurus) platform, dedicated to closing the skills gap through onsite, online and on-demand training and support for the next-generation of repair technicians.

Laura began her career at the Ford Motor Company holding positions in marketing and brand management. She next joined the Volkswagen Group, last serving as General Manager of Experiential Marketing and, later, Chrysler Group LLC, where she successfully led the reintroduction of the FIAT brand to North America.

Laura earned a bachelor's degree in business administration and management from Walsh College and a master’s degree in business administration from The University of Detroit Mercy. She is a member of the Women’s Board – Car Care Council and serves on the Foundation Board of Directors at Walsh College.

Carolyn Coquillette

Luscious Garage
Coquillette is Owner and Master Technician of Luscious Garage, located in downtown San Francisco. Founded in 2007, Luscious was the first auto repair shop dedicated exclusively to hybrids, with a corresponding mission to be green, high-tech, and cutting edge.
The shop was named Small Green Business of the Year within its first year of operation; in 2012 it became the first auto repair business to be certified as a Benefit Corporation. Its cultural leadership garnered widespread media coverage, including CNN, The New York Times, Oprah Magazine, and PBS.

The business has consistently responded to market trends. Early years focused on Prius plug-in conversions, to encourage OEs to build electric cars. From 2011 to 2015 it expanded to hybrid taxis and fleets, with operations running 120 hours per week. Recent years have emphasized shop technology as the flagship to Coquillette's second business Shop-Ware, a cloud-based shop management system.
This year Luscious Garage celebrates its 10 year anniversary and remains woman-owned and operated. It will produce $1.8M in revenue, 80% from Toyota Prius.

Coquillette is active in Women in Auto Care and the Auto Care Association, and participates on ACA's Market Intelligence Committee. She is also a proud member of ASA, iATN, Service Center Scholars, and the Automotive Service Councils of California, serving on the Board and as Chair of its Connected Car Committee.
She is dedicated to the Aftermarket’s sustainability on all levels: technical, social, environmental, and financial.

Jill Trotta is an ASE Certified Technician/Advisor with over 25 years of experience in the industry. Jill started as a technician and has worked her way through many areas of industry. She’s been a technician, service advisor, service manager, parts director, shop owner, and most currently she is the Director of the Automotive Group at RepairPal.

In her role at RepairPal she’s played in integral role in development and execution of the RepairPal Certified program, the program has grown from 120 shops in 2013 to over 2000 shops today, Jill has guided this growth. Jill and her team have evaluated over 4200 independent repair facilities. These are shops that considered the best in the country. They have the right tools, the right training, and are loved by their customers.

Jill also is a regular at industry events and is viewed as a spokesperson for RepairPal and a thought leader in the industry.. She is very knowledgeable about the industry, the aftermarket, and is always happy to share this knowledge. Jill also has spearheaded
and participated in Community Car Care Clinics both for RepairPal and other organizations. She is very passionate the consumer education and is a regularly does radio interviews, print interviews, and TV appearances to share her knowledge with the public. She is also a regular contributor on RepairPal.com as well as other industry
publications. 

Jill is also very involved in the industry and her community. In 2014 she was awarded the Kukui Humanitarian of the year. For the past 4 years Jill has spearheaded a give away for the homeless in her area, this past year she partnered with Cindy Fresca from Kukui and the 2 of them give away over 150 homeless kits (including sleeping bags,
personal care kits, socks, and protein bars). She is also a very active member of Women in Auto Care and after serving on the marketing committee for the past 3 years recently joined the newly formed membership committee for the next 3 years. Jill is also member of Auto Care Association's Market Intelligence committee.

Jill has also participated in the Chevy Montage project (All women car build in Arizona) and is a resource for women in the industry.
Jill is highly regarded by her peers and has a deep love of the industry.

Amy’s most recent position was Vice President, Sales and Strategy for Bridgestone Retail Operations, LLC,where she spearheaded the building of a holistic B2B strategy focused on customer activation, infrastructure and operational excellence to drive profitable customer growth that supports Vision 2020 targets while driving change management efforts focused on the commercial customer. Paying it forward, Amy took pride in supporting mentoring opportunities at Bridgestone Retail Operations, which aimed to engage and inspire women, creating a positive environment to network and enhance their professional development.

Prior to joining Bridgestone Retail Operations, LLC in 2014, Amy was Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Advance Auto Parts, Inc. She focused on executing strategic account sales strategy to include cultural transformation and team development, while creating relationships with key strategic partners. She also served as Vice President Commercial Effectiveness, leading institutionalized corporate-wide initiatives for customer segmentation, commercial selling activities, research and development projects, and introducing new tools, training, communication and program effectiveness.

As a Divisional Sales Manager for Black & Decker, Inc., Amy led sales and store execution strategies to drive organic growth at The Home Depot by successfully driving promotional planning, capitalizing on inventory placement and leveraging sales and retail operations resources to deliver results.

Amy is a sought-after guest speaker at national association events, conferences and symposiums focused on cultural and strategic transformation, women in business, and defining her version of what it takes to be a current day corporate athlete. She was honored with the 2016 Women in Auto Care (formerly the Car Care Council Women’s Board) Auto Care Woman of the Year Award and was recognized with this award at AAPEX 2016 for providing significant leadership, including exemplary contributions in motivating women in the auto care industry. She takes great pride in working to create a more inclusive culture for growth in all areas of her life.

Amy earned her Bachelor of Science (BS) in Marketing and International Business, Minor in Japanese, from The Pennsylvania State University while also studying abroad at Kansai Gaidai University of International Programs.

Today, Amy along with her husband Kraig and their two sons, Chase and Cole, reside in the suburbs of Chicago. She relentlessly focuses on prioritizing her roles as mother, wife, leader and teammate so she can be present and effective in all situations.
